Jogni waterfall is one of the best short treks in Manali to enjoy local scenic beauty and village life in the Himalayas.
The trek route starts from Vashisht Temple and has very scenic views as it passes through beautiful villages aligned with the sprawling valleys.
You will find a few restaurants and guest houses and then it goes through the apple orchard and tall pines trees and small water streams.
It will take about 30 minutes to reach the base of the waterfall where you will find Yogini Mata temple and from there you get the first glimpse of the falls which is mesmerizing and makes you feel so small in front of Mother Nature.
This temple is visited by locals bring their kids for mundan (first tonsure).
The top point of the waterfall can be reached by a fairly challenging trail of another 20 minutes. The waterfall cascades down from a height of around 150 feet through multiple levels.
Tips
1. Wear appropriate trekking gear and warm clothes if needed.
2. Avoid going during monsoons.
3. It is advisable that tourists trek in groups and begin the trek early in the morning to return safely before dark.
4. Drink enough water and keep yourself hydrated.
5. There are some guest houses on the route. Tourists can halt if needed.
